European Android Users Engage with Top Tabletop Board Games in Q2 2021

As the digital transformation of traditional board games continues, Sensor Tower provides a glimpse into how five popular tabletop board game applications fared on the Android platform in Europe during the second quarter of 2021.

Yalla Ludo - Ludo&Domino saw a gradual increase in revenue throughout Q2, soaring from roughly $74K in the last week of March to around $149K by the end of June. Downloads showed a slight decline from 14K to 8.7K, while weekly active users fluctuated slightly, ending the quarter with nearly 37K.

The 101 Okey Plus Rummy Board Game by Zynga demonstrated a resilient performance, with revenue peaking at over $105K in mid-May before stabilizing at around $95K by June's end. Downloads began at about 61K and dipped to 47K, while weekly active users saw a peak of 1.4M in mid-May, ultimately settling at around 1.3M.

Backgammon - Lord of the Board experienced its highest revenue in late April at approximately $96K, with a slight decrease to $71K by late June. Downloads saw a peak of 33K at the start of the quarter, decreasing to 26K. Active users remained relatively stable, with a slight drop from 273K to 245K.

The revenue of Fun 101 Okey® followed an upward trend in the early quarter, hitting a peak at about $72K in mid-May, and then leveling out at around $57K by the end of June. Downloads decreased from 15K to 10K, and weekly active users showed a gradual decline from 308K to 245K.

Lastly, Zynga's Okey Plus saw its revenue fluctuate, with a high of nearly $70K in mid-May, and a dip to around $44K as the quarter closed. The app's downloads decreased from 28K to 18K, and the number of weekly active users saw a modest reduction from 208K to 179K.
